The Power of "Many with a Few" connected

By Dale Shumaker
4spirit@gmail.com

Many with a few connected yields a great power.

I was pondering this thought. As I did, my thinking went down this road.

What we see now is a few with many, but what we will see in the near future is many with a few. As I pondered this, I saw each of us have a few that we are close to. We bounce ideas off each other, help each other, and pray for each other.

These few are connected. But then each person has a connection with others outside their close inner circle of friends. It expands out like a web of small cells connecting with others. This keeps expanding, and can go indefinitely.

(It's been said we are 6 people away from anyone in the world. It's called "6 degrees of separation." Some have said the last two elected U.S. Presidents were aware of this and used social networks strategically which had great impact on them winning the election.)

Spiritually, Jesus encouraged this. He related the Kingdom of Heaven on earth as being like a vine. Intertwining and helping each other.
As a few... two, three, four... connect with others in groups of two, three, four, and they each connect with small cells of people, they become like a vine that weaves with other vines and it forms a strong web. Jesus advocated that this is the most powerful force when applied in Spirit.

I recalled on the farm there was a fence row that was covered with a vine. It had sweet smelling honeysuckle growing out of it. The fence row was completely covered with this vine. I tried one day to pull it away from the fence row, and it was so intertwined I couldn't pull it off the fence. It would give, stretch out, but I couldn't pull it away from the fence.

Jesus likened Himself and us as a vine and branches.
"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches" (John 15:5).

As His Body in Spirit on earth, we are to be like this vine.
Today I see some fellowships who have a great preacher and many come. It is a "few with many" scenario. What I see in Spirit is in the future it will be "many with a few"... but all intertwined like the vine, spreading out everywhere. As a Spiritually unit, connected and intertwined, we have great power and have an ability to connect to any resource in the world, Spiritually, materially, practically.

"I pray that they will all be one, just as you and
I are one... And may they be in us so that the
world will believe you sent me" (John 17:21).

This prayer for us being One is our most powerful force in the Spirit, as Jesus asked the Father in Heaven that this be protected and developed in us all. The vine overlapping and intertwining can reach all places on the earth, and penetrate places seemingly not penetrable.

Have you ever noticed a crack in cement where a vine was growing through it. This is what we will become. We will go places many aren't able to go. We can break through areas that seem too hard to break through.

What seems like a wall that is strong and can't be penetrated we will break through the cracks in the wall. ...especially through prayer.

All of the "many with a few" can be connected, through the Spirit, overlapping like a vine. It's effect is it will spread everywhere, with great strength.

Just as I couldn't pull the intertwined vine from the fence row, the Body of Christ interconnected cannot be severed by difficulties, or lose its power. Woven together like this its power is increased, regardless of size.

You cut a tree at the stump and the whole tree falls down. The many branches high up fall to the ground and die... leaves die and never come back, and it doesn't bear fruit.

With a vine, it doesn't happen that way. All the branches are tied together with each other.

So you see from this effect in nature. When applied Spiritually each of us with a prayer cell, of maybe a few, who intertwine with others doing the same is a powerful force, an invincible force.

It doesn't seem big like a tall tree with many branches, but it is very strong and penetrates many places, and is a lot more massive than can be imagined.

The "few with many," what we seen now in the world, will give way to the "many with a few," intertwined in Spirit.

This is the unique design of the Spirit Savvy Network, aka, Body of Christ. This is how the Spirit works in power constantly reproducing within itself.

It is applicable in all things... life, business, mission. Especially our mission for Heaven coming to earth as in Heaven.

See this explained in detail at Living Your Magnificent Mission.

A New Thing … the Jesus way

by Dale Shumaker

"I am doing a new thing," proclaims the prophet Isaiah. He exhorts us to not keep thinking about the older things and things of the past (Isaiah 43:18, 19). God is putting something together completely new. It was introduced by Jesus and then elaborated on by His Disciples. Here's how I see it.

Jesus came to earth to share a new idea. As the prophet Isaiah said, “I am doing a New Thing.” Jesus had a plan that would be hard to conquer in the future. As the recognized leader of His day the way to eliminate a leader's vision was to eliminate the leader. That was the goal of His opposition of the day. They didn't want the new thing or change anything they were doing. They wanted to keep things as they were. This is true even to today.

Jesus was introducing a fail-safe plan, no one could destroy. When the shepherd is killed the sheep will scatter. True in natural terms, but Jesus' plan was beyond that. When He was killed, of which He knew would happen, He came back with another Higher plan, that was invincible. He would put His power in all the people who believed in Him, by sending the Holy Spirit on all people who believed in Him. This is hard to defeat. They were an intertwined, Spiritual unit. There is not one specific leader; it is a compilation of One in Spirit.

Now, instead of having a lone leader someone can knock off,
He put His Spirit in a group of people. If one is disposed of, everyone shores up ranks and nothing is lost. As a group, there is not just one guy to focus on or get. The ranks continually shored up. The mission is not disrupted by a loss, obstacle, or unexpected change in people involved.

As One as a unit it is hard to find the one person in charge. Why? It is Jesus Himself now in Spirit among them and in charge.. He is the leader for all, in Spirit. It is a great plan. So of 100, 1000, 10,000 people there is not a single, figurehead leader. They as a unit form to be Jesus Christ in Spirit on earth. The leader is Jesus in Spirit, from Heaven, now among us.

Kill the shepherd and the sheep scatter… won’t work. Jesus the Shepherd in Spirit protects and empowers the flock as a whole.

This dynamic formation is invincible. It's many as One, not centered on one human leader that if defeated his followers scatter. Many as one in Spirit merely shore up the ranks, Jesus as a group keeps advancing.

Today, most all leadership training is about individuals in a leadership position. The most remarkable thing about the Jesus’ leadership concept is it’s a united group as One in Spirit. It functions with people in different roles, gifts, abilities, in syncopation with each other… like an orchestra.  All in harmony with each other. Jesus in Spirit is the orchestra conductor.

A new thing.

So this brings us to the power of a Spirit Savvy Network. It's about 2 or 3, 20 or 30, etc. as a unit. Not one leader, only Jesus in Spirit as the leader, and with re-gifting, the mission does not skip a beat in advancing even when one is lost, eliminated, or leaves. This Power is above any power on earth, and evil forces anywhere.

It's a dynamic cell of Spirit which can be replicated in a business, in a mission, in a venture which is driven by a God, Spirit-inspired mission.

Living in Spirit… a way to get there

by Dale Shumaker

Here are three thoughts on how to live by the power of God as part of our lives. Random thoughts written at different times.

We live through life with questions about life. Some we never really get a great answer for, but we come to certain conclusions. One of the biggest questions is why I am here, and what am I here for? I have come up with a scenario that I think many will find useful. And I believe this is what all this is about. I was somewhat creative and come up with life as a Spirit Savvy Network. Thus I refer to this as the identity of what we are here for.

Precedent in the natural can become dangerous. To repeat something because that is the way we did it before, becomes a tradition. We have done that a lot in the progression of church over the last 2000 years. When we look at the original pattern, it was almost opposite of today's. It's all really pretty simple...
We start with a person, invite them to join us in following Jesus. We meet others doing the same, and share in helping each other. Then as this chain of connection grows, we celebrate with each other.

My natural tendency is to think about what could be. And what we could do to get there. I function well with people with a vision, an idea of what could be, and finding ways to get there.
I have never functioned well in cookie-cutter marketing plans... do it this way and you will succeed. I quickly would lose interest in them.
That's why I pioneered the Spirit Savvy Network. It's what could be and it could be better, and less cumbersome to what we have now. Spiritual growth is a simple process, but it takes discipline and diligence to see it blossom in our lives... and anyone, anywhere can do it. Here's my simple plan.

This simplifies everything, and any one, two, or three... can do it.

Mission Advances, Magnificence Expands

By Dale Shumaker

This is how things progress when we move into mission. As laid out in Living Your Magnificent Mission, it starts small, with just one person choosing to live directed by God's Spirit, growing in Spirit personally, then joining with another. It continues to expand as these small cells of Spirit connect with others. And it grows to become a Magnificent Mission.

When the mission is established and a Spiritual base is established and maintained on a daily basis, greater advances in what you are about begin. As the network, of the initial two or three becomes a bond in Spirit, other networks doing the same start connecting. They form a web that continually grows in strength and size. The size is not one big group but many small networks networking with other small networks. It's a Spiritual network. They communicate and work together in their mission... enhancing each other's mission. The dynamic of Living Your Magnificent Mission becomes more evident. Here's how the last two elements come together that boosts the mission.

Our bodies have electrical currents. When two people touch hands, sometimes there is a spark of static electricity. Some credit this electromagnetic current in our body to what we call vibes... we get a good or bad feel when with certain people. When people gather of the same mind, we say sometimes there was an electricity there.
God's Love is much like electricity. When a small group, 2, 3, 4, is in harmony (bonded by God's Love), it is much like an electrical power grid.  A power grid stores very much energy.

In God's Spirit this power is love. When love combines through each other, with a mission focus, a Spiritual power grid is formed. This connection in love and harmony has great Spiritual Power.

So cells connected with other cells of God's Spirit greatly increases its potential power. The power multiplies (in multiples, e.g., 3 X 3 X 3....). This is the secret to great Power in the Spirit... cells in harmony in Spirit connecting like a network to other cells of the same Spirit. Greatness comes out of great love for others working together. This is an unconquerable power.

Our Giftings come to us in three ways. One way is we are born with certain gifts that stay with us all our lives. Others come to us through education and experience. We learn something and do it well. Then there are Gifts of the Spirit.

When living our mission, many Gifts are sent by the Spirit to get done what needs to be done, and show up when needed in a timely way. Some are a one-time thing, others stay with us. When we form bonds in the Spirit with others, more of the Spiritual Gifts surface. Two or three in agreement compounds Spiritual Giftings...there's more of them and they are of great power.

As we live in faith God provides, Supernaturally, the abilities or character as needed for the completion of His Mission through us. Spiritual Gifts surface we can't explain. The most exciting way to live is living in His mission.

It remains my contention that the power in the Body of Christ will be small cells of people, likely unknown pockets of two or three (i.e., a small group) but tightly-knit together in Spirit, who connect with or network with other similar small cells.

The strongest will be the smallest, but very close in relationship who know each other well. They have strong bonds of love, powerful in Spirit (an analogy would be a Spiritual version of the Navy Seals on a combat mission).

These small cells networking-in-Spirit will be the big thing. Most will be unknown or not recognized generally speaking, but precise and potent in the mission they set out to do. This is the power in the Body of Christ equipped in Gifts of the Spirit and with Love abounding among them and toward others.

So what does this look like... see "Scripting the Movie" section (the very last section) of

Because of their love, it created a unity, a bonding as if they were One. Jesus last prayer was about us being One as He and the Father are One. Love creates close will-die-for relationships. When being One in Spirit magnifies and intensifies, the mission advances Supernaturally and expands magnificently. Whatever we set out to do, with one, two or three, as One, our mission has a Magnificent Power. We live magnificently our Magnificent Mission.

One final thought. Vocation and mission are many times two separate things but with a mission being fulfilled through a person's vocation, or lifestyle. Sometimes vocation and mission are one in the same, although in the marketplace the vocation is many times the vehicle through which the mission is expressed. God uses us where we are, in a Magnificent way.
